Free forecasts alerts with audible alarms are included that allow you to receive a text message or E-mail alert when the chance of rain/snow, or hi/low outdoor temperature is outside of your desired range.
The 4 Day Weather Multi-line toggles the % chance of precipitation, rain amount in inches, hours of sunshine, wind gust, wind speed, wind direction and barometric pressure. The bottom LCD line scrolls your wireless outdoor temperature, selected location name, sun rise/set and forecast.
The included wireless temperature sensor monitors your backyard temperature. You can also monitor your backyard temperature from anywhere in the world with your free membership to theweatherclub.com.
The weather gateway connects to your network router with the included LAN cable to send secure wireless forecasts to the display - 24 hours a day without turning on a TV or computer. A wireless range of 330 feet allows you to put the display device almost anywhere you want. A PC is only required for one-time easy set-up or to customize features. High-speed Internet and network router are required.
You do not need a wireless router. The Gateway connects with a LAN cable to the internet router and plugs to an adapter. With a consumption of just over 1 watt, the Gateway meets all the latest and future energy saving requirements for home and office equipment.
The Weather Direct also includes an indoor / outdoor temperature sensor for real time local data. User definable alerts via email, sms, if the measured temperature meets an alert condition, adjustable by the user over the internet. History data is kept for several weeks and can be downloaded as an xml file. Get an alert if your fridge, deep freezer, heating system, air-conditioner fails.
