Virtual Weather Station includes a built in web browser. Images or web pages can be automatically served up, formatted, and saved as bit map images or jpeg images. These images can then be sent to your website. One of the most interesting applications is providing a real-time radar background map for the Mesonet project.
Virtual Weather Station allows you to automatically serve up to five web pages based on a schedule. The images are cropped and formatted, then saved to file as bitmap or jpeg images.
Time lapse images can be created. With this feature, you can download a web image from the internet, such as radar, overlay the weather stations, then display a time lapsed image. This feature is very powerful for viewing storms and their effects on weather station data.
