Optional GPS for heading correction when using the LD-250 in a vehicle.
In a fixed installation your LD-250 antenna always points North. In a mobile installation (car, truck, boat, etc) you need a compass or GPS to tell the LD-250 which direction your antenna is pointed. In a car or truck a GPS is usually recommended for the lower cost and ease of installation. In a boat and other specialized application where the direction of motion is not always forward Boltek's LDCMP-1 Fluxgate Compass is recommended.
Boltek's LDGPS-1 GPS Receiver comes prewired and ready to plug into your LD-250.
Turn on the LD-250's heading indicator when running mobile. The blue triangle in the center of the screen rotates as your vehicle turns to show the LD-250 is using your GPS or marine compass to correct for changes in your vehicle's direction.
20 feet of cable is provided to plug directly into the LD-250. There are no other cables to run since the GPS is powered directly from the LD-250.
