Ambient Weather WS-DPT01 Ultrasonic Snow Depth, Lake Depth and Tank Depth Meter

The WS-DPT01 Ultrasonic Snow Depth Sensor is an inexpensive solution for remotely measuring snow depth or water levels. The sensor works by measuring the time required for an ultrasonic pulse to travel to and from a target surface.

Knowing the speed of sound (and compensating for temperature), the sensor can determine the distance to the snow and calculate it's depth accordingly. The same prinicpal can be used for measuring water level, tank depth, lake depth and pool depth.

The solar powered remote sensor externds the rechargeable battery life. The wirelss signal transmits up to 300 feet for easy viewing in the comfort of your home on the LCD display.

The display can be desk or wall mounted, and includes graphical information and historical data, as well as alarm features.

Also includes bubble level, mounting bracket, U-Bolts and hardware to mount to a 1 to 2" diameter pole, or lag screws for mounting in a horizantal surface.
